We want you to come play, relax, and bond while enjoying all that the Adirondacks have to offer during this beautiful time of year. You may have some new experiences and make some new friends. The weekend will combine yoga, meditation, skiing or snow shoeing and amazing group activities and meals. We anticipate this to be a super fun, magical weekend. The price is $525 for the weekend which includes food, skiing passes and lessons (equipment rental not included), lodging, wine, yoga and workshops. Nestled in the Adirondacks, overlooking a beautiful pristine lake, with miles of private ski and hiking trails, the lodge is the focal point of a special place that offers options for activity as well as rest and relaxation. Only 60 minutes from Downtown Saratoga Springs, in the beautiful Adirondacks, at Garnet Hill Lodge is where we will gather. This beautiful property that overlooks the lake that has the feel and flavor of an authentic Adirondack lodge. In addition to a stunning view of Lake George and the fall foliage, this lodge offers a wonderful restaurant (custom meals will be served for the group),
The price for this weekend will be $525 per person for double occupancy; we will pair you up with a same sex roommate if you are a single registrant but want a double occupancy!)
This price includes everything for the weekend that you will be doing – lodging, delicious carefully prepared meals, Yoga, meditation, skiing (pass and lessons - rentals are extra), parties, events, and wine. You will only be responsible for getting yourself to the hotel, equipment rentals and any alcohol you would like to consume (beyond the wine).
Yoga – if you have never practiced yoga or if you have a regular practice, you will love practicing here. Carrie Kaufman and Vicki Brignati are both accomplished Y200 yoga teachers with years of experience. They will lead you through challenging and relaxing practices.
Meditation – start the day with a meditation. This guided meditation will enable you to start your day with clarity and a renewed sense of calm. If you have never meditated before, come try it. The benefits are many.
Team events – There will be social events both Friday and Saturday evenings for people to gather, get to know each other, let off steam and have a great time.
Workshops – Carrie and Vicki will lead the group through workshops looking at stress triggers, coping mechanisms and finding joy and energy through any stressful time. The participants will help support and give ideas for ways to enjoy the winter season in the best way possible.
Plan on arriving at 4:00- 5:00pm on Friday to check into your room, unpack and unwind. There will be a welcoming circle and a yoga class at 5:00pm and then the group will enjoy a delicious dinner. There will be a team event in the Birches common room that will be a great ice breaker and a lot of laughs. You wouldn’t want to miss this opportunity to bond with other retreat goers.
A light snack will be available before you begin the day’s activities in the restaurant starting at 7:00. There will be a guided meditation and yoga from 7:45-9:00 followed by breakfast from 10-11:00. After breakfast will be the first ski lesson until lunch. Lunch will be served from 1-2:00. Afternoon, head out for more skiing, get a massage or just relax. We will come back for some stretching which should conclude around 6:15 so you have time to freshen up before our group dinner at 7:00pm. After dinner, meet us back in the Birches for the evening activity.
Snack and coffee will be served at 7:00 and meditation and yoga will be offered at 7:45am and will run until 9:00. Grab some breakfast and head out for some skiing until lunch. After lunch, we will meet for a Blue Grass Brunch as a group to close the weekend and then you can check out and prepare to return to your lives and family in early afternoon on Sunday.
